KAP offer a free re test subject to your vehicle being bought back to the same test station on or before the end of the following day, providing your vehicle fails on one of the following:

Bootlid
Brake Pedal Antislip
Direction Indicators
Doors
Dropsides
Fuel Filler Cap
Hazard Warning
Horn
Lamps (excluding headlamp aid)
Loading Door
Mirrors
Rear Reflectors
Registration Plates
Seats
Sharp Edges or Projections
Steering Wheel
Tailboard
Windscreen & Glass
Tailgate
Windscreen Wipers
VIN
Seatbelts*
Windscreen Washers
Towbars*
Wheels & Tyres ** not classes 1 and 2 **

*excluding body around anchorage points

MOT Retests (Re-examinations) - Providing the testing station has not changed ownership:

If the vehicle is brought back to the same station and retested before the end of the next working day on one or more of the above items only.

If the vehicle is left at the testing station for repair and is retested before the end of the 10 working days following the day of the initial failure, then only a partial retest is needed for which no fee may be charges.

If the vehicle is removed from the testing station for repair and returned for retest within the 10 working days following the day of the initial failure, then only a partial retest is needed and a partial retest fee may be charged
